The Environment Focus Group at St Catherine’s College aims to promote an awareness of the imminent environmental crisis that faces our world today. Global warming, natural disasters, deforestation, animal extinction; you name it. Even though these are huge issues facing our planet, every little bit of time, energy and effort we contribute will ultimately help towards the bigger picture. Our Focus Group gives the residents a forum to brainstorm their ideas and act on them.
Our team is on an energy saving mission. In 2009 we have combined with the other UWA colleges and Currie Hall of Residents to take part in the Inter-College Energy Challenge, hoping to make it an annual event!
We are also creating a worm farm and introducing an effective re-cycling program within the college. You can help St Catherine’s lead the way in creating an environmentally friendly college, join now!
