The Women's Health and Wellbeing Focus Group facilitates residents in promoting women’s health and well-being to the rest of the student body at St Cat’s and applying these values to daily life. These are done through various activities:
• Creating awareness of health mentally, physically, emotionally and sexually- this particularly stresses on informing residents of women’s health, their own bodies, exercise and good eating habits, the female cycle, and managing stress.
• Giving guidance on where residents can get extra information or professional help when needed.
• Encouraging residents to draw on their knowledge from different family/cultural backgrounds and university courses on women’s health and sharing this with the rest of the student body.
• Encouraging residents to take up interactive and leadership roles among their fellow residents.
