You’ll find all the facilities and support you need to enjoy university life here at St Cat’s, but there are some things you’ll have to bring for yourself.
In addition to bed linen, you should bring your own crockery and cutlery to keep in your wing’s kitchenette – you never know when you’ll get peckish after a late class (or night out). And make sure you bring towels for the beach – beautiful Cottesloe Beach is just a short bus ride away.
In terms of clothes, it’s worth bearing in mind that Perth is Australia’s sunniest capital. The summer can be hot. Very hot. That said, the evenings are cooler, especially with the breeze off the Indian Ocean, so you’ll need some warmer clothes. Winter is obviously colder, not to mention noticeably windier, so you’ll need to wrap up a bit more between May and August. Plus you’ll need to bring your sports, swimming and gym gear – we’ve got some great sports facilities on-site and nearby.
